A.R.E. stands for the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. It is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1931 by Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) to research and explore transpersonal subjects such as:

  • Holistic health
  • Ancient mysteries
  • Personal spirituality
  • Dreams and dream interpretation
  • Intuition
  • Philosophy and reincarnation

The international headquarters is in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In the area of Massachusetts known as greater Boston, the A.R.E. has study groups that hold monthly and yearly activities. We currently have over 450 members in and around Boston. (But our events and activities are open to all, no matter where you live. We’ve had people attend from as far away as Florida and California!) We meet regularly in churches and homes and are working towards getting a local space of our own.
